UthMpact Leadership Class XIII in Our Community

UthMpact Leadership Class XIII members have experienced a flurry of activity since the start of 2024 with tremendous learning experiences in our community while they also worked hard to prepare the Project Prom Store at Lakeland Square Mall for Student Shopping Days, which will take place on select Saturdays in March and April.

An All-Points Bulletin was issued for UthMpact Teen Leaders in January - fortunately no UthMpact members were arrested! Instead, students took part in an informative Law Enforcement Leadership Day to learn about processing, court proceedings, jail, and special ops from officers at the Lakeland Police Dept. Then, it was off to Polk County Sheriff's Office in Bartow to experience law enforcement activities topped off by a fun meet and greet opportunity with Sheriff Grady Judd!

As the calendar page turned to February, UthMpact Leaders returned to local government to participate in teen court, enjoy tours of Lakeland City Hall and Lakeland Electric, and even write their own PGTV script at the Polk County Government offices to discuss the mission of UthMpact and valuable contributions youth can make in their communities.
