InnerAct Alliance’s Red Ribbon
Run on Saturday, November 9th is now a 15K, 5K & Kids’ Fun Run!
There’s exciting news to share about our Annual Red
Ribbon events this fall to raise awareness and encourage prevention of risky
behaviors such as substance abuse and bullying!
The Red Ribbon Run, presented by Title Sponsor Publix Super Markets, Inc., InnerAct
Alliance, and Kids Run partner MidFlorida Credit Union, is a family-friendly
day with three races to accommodate all ages: a 15K (9.3 miles), 5K (3.1
miles), plus a Kids’
Fun Run (1K-just over a half-mile). The course is run around the picturesque Lake Mirror, downtown, and Lake to Lake areas
and races are timed with results posted at the end.
The Fun Run is FREE for K-8 students who pre-register before October 31,
2019 ($5 fee after 11/1/19) and includes a commemorative Run t-shirt and free
refreshments. The Kids Run will start and finish at Lake
Mirror Promenade and follow a route around Lake Mirror. Awards will be
given for First, Second & Third place runners in
gender categories, and to the top 3 elementary schools and top middle school
with the largest percentage of participating students, based on school census.
The private school with the highest percentage of participation will receive a
trophy.
