InnerAct Alliance is Looking for Prevention Volunteers!

InnerAct Alliance organizes one of the largest Red Ribbon Campaigns in the state of Florida each fall highlighted by the Annual Red Ribbon Run, which features a FREE Kids Fun Run for students in grades K-8 along with a Family Fun Run and Fitness Fun Zone to support prevention of substance abuse and bullying and inspire individuals and families to achieve healthy drug-free lifestyle goals. The Red Ribbon Run is a popular family participation event that brings together over 1,500 run participants, volunteers, local business partners, and spectators. The success of the Red Ribbon Run depends on the efforts of over 300 volunteers each year.

InnerAct Alliance welcomes volunteers of all ages! Red Ribbon Volunteers are needed on Saturday morning, October 29, 2022 at the Lake Mirror Promenade in Lakeland, Florida. High school students can earn community service hours for the entire day. College students, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to volunteer for a fun team bonding experience. Free breakfast, t-shirt, and snacks are provided.

In addition to assisting at the Red Ribbon Run, helping hands are also needed throughout the year to prepare for other agency programs that impact the lives of youth, parents, families, businesses, faith-based organizations, and others in need with substance abuse prevention and anti-bullying messages.

InnerAct Alliance, formerly the Drug Prevention Resource Center, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency established in 1985 to reduce the abuse and underage use of harmful substances along with involvement in other risky behaviors through: Community Awareness and Involvement; Prevention Education; Economic Support; and Leadership Development. The agency provides science-based education programs to nearly 15,000 students in 69 schools, along with outreach to over 100,000 citizens via informative presentations, a premier youth leadership program, teen-driven social norms marketing, and family-oriented awareness events each year.
