The Project Prom Store is officially open at Lakeland Square Mall (entrance to right of Dillards) to provide free formal wear and accessories to deserving high school students and educate about risky behaviors during prom and graduation.
Special thanks to IAA Board Co-President Ryan Rogers, of MIDFLORIDA Credit Union, for cutting the ribbon for the Project Prom Store Grand Opening this past Saturday, March 2. We appreciate everyone who came to shop - congratulations to over 60 Polk students who signed a pledge to celebrate substance-free at Prom and found their perfect formal attire to wear for this milestone event!👗🕺
3 more Project Prom Student Shopping Days are scheduled on Saturdays March 16, March 30 and April 6 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Donations of gently-used dresses, men's suits, shoes, and accessories are welcome! Especially needed are women's sizes XS (0-3) and plus sizes (18+) and men's suits in smaller sizes, dress pants (waist 30-36) and dress shirts (all sizes). Donations may be dropped off at the Project Prom Store on shopping dates or at the InnerAct Alliance office (621 S. Florida Ave. in Lakeland - 8:30 am - 4:30pm weekdays).
